Olivia Lopez for Premium LabelPremium Label

One of our bloggers, Olivia Lopez, just worked with Premium Label and is featured in the shirt above.  Therefore ya’ll should buy it.  I guess some things come in handy.  You can’t argue.  She looks good in blue… And  Agyness Deyn doesn’t look bad topless either.  Check it out at: http://thepremiumlabel.net/

Pride and Prejudice…and Zombies

Monday, March 30th, 2009

After long hours of subsequently struggling to flip the pages of this book’s original in the tenth grade, I thought I would never lay my eyes on it again.9781594743344_large.. or at least I thought so.  That’s when I came across its’ evil twin.  The book’s cover is one of the most BAD ASS covers I’ve seen in a while…not that you should judge a book by its’ cover…but I will say that it desperately makes me want to re-read this Jane Austen classic except this time, I won’t just be cringing to bags of overindulging aristocratic drama…instead I’ll be cringing to bangs of overindulging aristocratic drama as well as enjoying a battle between lust and a battle to save a quiet English village from pillage.  Way to be ‘innovative’.  Enjoy.

Feast on these.

Spring time shopping…

Saturday, March 28th, 2009

Spring is here and to tell you the truth cleaning is probably last on my list… I’d rather go get some sick threads.  It’s nice to have a new wardrobe that compliments the season, and adjusts your body to the right temperature, so why not go out and shop?  Here’s some of my favorite destinations in the LA area, but feel free to leave comments talking about yours… or scolding me if I forgot any… but then again if they are my favorite places why would I forget anything?  Here we go:

The Wasteland.
Wasteland Santa Monica
I discovered this place sometime in late middle school on Melrose, they later arrived in my hometown, and I didn’t really get it until I was older.  I’ve found everything in there from Chanel to Alex and Chloe…even ancient shirts from my high school.  If you’re looking for what Urban Outfitters calls ‘Urban Renewal’, this is the place to go.  Sometimes if you’re lucky, they alter clothes and add a personal edge to ‘em…but that’s if you like edges to begin with…whatever that means. 1338 4th St. Santa Monica

Marc by Marc Jacobs
Marc by Marc Jacobs
First of all if you’re reading this, you probably already know about the wonders this store can offer.  We know Marc Jacobs is something, your average lunch money can afford, probably more like your dinner money…but anyway, Marc Jacobs understands that there are people out there that only have their lunch money on them, so why not create amazing inexpensive items?  If you like Jacobs, you’ll like Marc by Marc Jacobs for Marc Jacobs by Marc for Marc by Marc Jacobs.  If you didn’t get that…. there’s some problems here. 8410 Melrose Ave Los Angeles

Amoeba Hollywood
Amoeba Music
Enough said. 6400 W. Sunset Los Angeles

American Vintage
American Vintage
This place is located at a couple places.  I like it because it truly is a vintage thrift shop… but then I guess I don’t really know what a ‘true’ shop is because we’d have to go into the definition of true, but enough about me and more about you, I mean AV.  The shop is filled with authentic vintage items that are very well priced.  I usually scavenge for the buttery soft vintage t’s. 7575 Melrose Ave Los Angeles

Red, White, and Blue, and sometimes studs…

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

And while we’re already on the topic of fashion, we should say a thing or two about studs: you can’t go wrong.  Looks like it’s something everyone can agree on.  We think it may be a Burberry on Kristen…and the jacket that’s pure DIY Punk Rock.Punk Rock Vestkristendoll_
